I read your articles and get a lot of info that I never know before. It’s hard to find knowledgeable people on this topic, but you sound like you know what you’re talking about!

One other issue issue is video games are normally serious in nature with the main focus on studying rather than fun. Although, we have an entertainment element to keep your kids engaged, each game is often designed to focus on a specific skill set or curriculum, such as math concepts or technology. Thanks for your write-up.

Thank you for your site post. Thomas and I have been saving for just a new publication on this issue and your post has made all of us to save the money. Your thinking really resolved all our problems. In fact, more than what we had acknowledged in advance of the time we came across your fantastic blog. I no longer nurture doubts and a troubled mind because you have completely attended to each of our needs in this article. Thanks

Everytime I use my spatula with a red sauce it stains it so it’s a lovely orange colour after washing. It eventually wears off, but it makes the spatula look so grungy, I just wondered if anyone had a tip for cleaning it other than putting it in bleach which soaks into the rubber and comes out in the food (been there, done that). Ideas, anyone?

  • Brian August 3, 2013 at 6:54 pm

So I bought this used white prom dress for really cheap but it is looking a little grungy around the sleeves. It says it is spot clean only and I don’t trust dry cleaners to do the job, so any tips for how to clean it? If you need a picture of the dress I can email it to you. Thanks a Bunch!

Im building my own guitar with two double coils and I want to know if it’ll sound cleaner, or grungy-er or whatever compared to what I already have which is two singles and a double coil.

I like basic and perhaps slightly leaning on the grungy side clothes. Which are your favorite stores in London that are more affordable options?

  • forahobby August 21, 2013 at 8:02 am

I’ve had the sims 3 pets for 3 weeks, and for the first time my horse Digit got
the ”grungy” interaction (it doesn’t effect the mood)
so how do I get rid of it? (Obviously I can’t give him a bath or a shower…)

  • mavis24 August 26, 2013 at 12:49 pm

So, my style is super boring and lame right now. Just following trends. I’m done with it. I love the whole edgy, grungy, 90’s thing, and would love to have that style.
How can I achieve that? Thanks. (:

I want to make a stencil that can be essentially pasted down on watercolor paper, have watercolors splattered upon it, and removed to have crisp shapes with a grungy texture. I guess part two to this question would be what is a weak enough spray on adhesive to accomplish this.

    Thanks! 🙂

I have a Fender Squire with a kind of sunburst finish and a red turtle shell pick guard. I hate the look and I want it to look like grungy and badass, kind of like Billie Joe Armstrong’s “Blue” But I’m afraid of doing something that looks stupid and not being able to fix it. Any tips?

  • skychi99 September 11, 2013 at 10:23 am

  • Cupcakerum September 15, 2013 at 1:41 pm

The paint is peeling everywhere. The back yard is just dirt and trash. They hang filthy flags all around the house. From what we can see, the cabinets are grungy and there are old cardboard boxes and trash filling up their house.

I have a vox valvetronix, and I want to use my amp but bypass all the effects. It has to be set on some preset amp mode, but the manual says to select manual to bypass it. However, if I have it ona grungy uk 80,s then hit manuel, it still has the grunge, even though the bypass button is lit.

what setting dO i use for the most clean amplification?

I’m going to a pub gig to see some bands and I want to look grungy and nice. The pub’s in the centre of manchester, so I don’t think it’s your typical pub. I’m going nightclubbing afterwards though, and I’m just not sure what to wear. I’ve got a really nice dress, but I’m worried it’s too nice for the gig.
    Any help would be appreciated!

  • isk8at818 October 10, 2013 at 3:28 am

I’m looking for photographers or specific photographs of

-grungy city life or just scenes of the city
-“starving artist” type people or just people’s everyday lives

with pictures that don’t look too staged but more candid. Any time period is fine. Thanks!

  • jordenkotor October 13, 2013 at 11:18 am

I have a Jet Pilot MVP woman’s vest that has gotten grungy. Can I just hand wash it with Woolite? Or should I use no soap products at all? There is no tag for how to clean it and I don’t see anything on their website regarding cleaning.

I am not shallow, but he dresses very grungy. I’m not asking for him to wear Armani but I want him to take pride in his appearance. How can I do this without offending him?

  • jaimin October 25, 2013 at 9:57 pm

I’m trying to find some dark, heavy drum n bass that isn’t all sporadic like VEnetian Snares. Squarepusher is more consistent with rhythm but he also tends to get too musical. I want something that drives hard, dark grungy without all the loops thrown in so sporadically that is no definite direction. VEnetian snares is awesome, but that shit gets tiring after a while.

  • blarg blarg November 1, 2013 at 12:06 am

I’m not talking about the ones who pretend to be grungy. The ones who buy $40 jeans with holes in them, or shops at those hipster thrift stores where shirts are more than $10.

I’m talking about men who haven’t had a haircut for years, doesn’t bathe or shave daily, has a collection of flannels and a single pair of shoes that are 5+ years old, loathes the smell of cologne, and just honestly doesn’t give a f’uck.

Firstly let me just establish that there’s nothing wrong with being/looking lesbian, but as a straight girl it’s just not the impression I want to give off.

Basically I like dressing in clothes that some might consider kind of lesbian-esque. Baggy jeans, oversized khaki jackets, doc martens or converse. I’ve been mistaken for a lesbian once or twice before and I’m pretty sure it’s because of how I dress.

I have longish hair (past my shoulders) and wear a bit of make up (eyeliner, lip tint) and have a small nose stud and a piercing on each ear lobe. I dress in this manner because it’s what I feel comfortable in and I like the grungy look.

I know people will say I shouldn’t care as long as I’m comfortable, but I just don’t want to give off the wrong impression. At the same time, I don’t want to change my style!

So my question is, how can I continue to dress this way without appearing “butch” or something?

When did dreadlocks stop being for grungy hippies and start being for ‘pretty’ boys?

  • Oilers November 20, 2013 at 5:38 am

I rent an apartment in an older house and the bathtub is really grungy. I clean it with lysol and regular all-purpose cleaners and they get rid of the dirt, but there are still really tough hard water stains. What are some good products and/or techniques for getting rid of that and making my tub and shower look cleaner?

  • everythingisgonnabefine November 23, 2013 at 8:47 pm

I got this nice wooden vase from asia (made from bamboo). But the problem is that everytime I leave the flower and water in there for a week, the water gets grungy and there’s mould on the inside of the vase above the water level, while the other glass vase I have doesnt’ have the same problem. Is there anything I can put in to prevent the mould and not kill the flowers?

    Thank you!

My hair, regardless of what type of shampoo/conditioner I use, is oily by the next day.
But I’m constantly getting people telling me that I shouldn’t wash it everyday.
Even tho I do. I don’t like the feel of greasy, grungy hair.

Yes common sense tells me to wash it everyday but I wanted to know from somebody that has their cosmo liscenes

I’m italian if that helps any. And I’m 17.

  • Muzahid November 30, 2013 at 2:18 am

I studded a pair of Converse with some silver pyramid studs, but it looks so shiny and new-looking. How can I make the studs look more grungy and old, and less shiny?

  • Maggie November 30, 2013 at 10:27 pm

I could have swore I read that so long as you have 35% or 40% of a dollar they will give you a new one, as well as give you freshly issued money in exchange for grungy money. If this is true, how do I do this? I have what seems like hundreds of pennies I was told are too… mangled to be accepted by my bank.
