I have started getting work (murals, paintings) through a design group. They told me that I would receive 1/2 as a deposit and the rest 30 days (net 30) from the day the client sign off on the work and are invoiced for the designer’s work. Basically, they are grouping my art in with the bill for all the work they did for the client (furniture, paint schemes, wallpaper etc) this is causing HUGE delays in getting paid . Is this normal?

How are statistics and research design related? What is the relationship between research design and the operational definition of a problem statement?

The Bloom Design Group is a company that offers interior design services to businesses and individuals throughout the world. The company’s site features a virtual decorating tool, which offers clients the chance to play with different color and design schemes. This tool allows their clients to get an idea of what a design project would look like once it is completed, before actually making color and design decisions. The site also gives member interior designers access to their client files and company style guides, as well as the ability to electronically process orders for design materials and furniture. The designers simply use a login and a password to gain secure access to the site and these features.

Let’s say I developed a new drug that reduces appetite. I have been given a small grant to experiment on the effectiveness of this new drug on obese individuals. I have decided to use a random groups design. What are the limitations on the conclusions that can be made using this design?

What would you recommend for future research on the topic?

There’s obvious ones like shops that sell lingerie, Anne Summers type things

    The fashion industry also.

As part of a design group in my degree we have to come up with an advertising campaign that would target a wide range of industries to employ us to graphic design for them. Can anyone think of any others that we could use the same marketing strategy to target?

My teacher didn’t make sense and these 2 problems stumped me. I just need the constraints. Like: 3x+4y<5

An entrepreneur is having a design group produce at least 6 samples of a new kind of fastener that he wants to market. It costs $9.00 to produce each metal fastener and $4.00 to produce each plastic one. He wants to have at least two of each version of thefastener and needs to have all the samples 24 hours from now. It takes 4 hours to produce each metal sample and 2 hours to produce each plastic sample. To minimize the cost of the samples, how many of each kind should be ordered?

I have designed a space friendly group oriented desk system that fits together like a puzzle that should work perfectly with the new common core group expectations. Who do I talk to and where do I go to share my idea about brining our classrooms up to the future expectations ?

So I am a Senior in high school and i really want to get into programming and game design, I know it’s a little cliche but the whole idea of it (and from what experience i have had and from what I have seen) really motivates me and makes me excited. Just the idea of creating anything you can imagine gives me sheer joy. I was just wondering where a good place to start would be. What would be a good language to learn? Where could i start learning it? What are my options for college?

Unix and Linux fundamentals on computers are Open Source Software designed by groups online to improve and avoid standards of more traditional business suited software. I am curious to know how Intel and Power PC’s differ when implementing this type of Open Source software.

I have looked at a lot of websites and read a couple of books about logo design and brand identity and I have noticed that many people tend to give different views of the different types of identies that there are and some people tend to mix them up. Some people say there are only 3 categories some people say there is 4 some say 5 I know of 9 listed shown below but i’m not sure if i’m right or wrong but these are just ones that I have read of on different websites and books.

    1. Combination
    2. Symbolic
    3. Wordmark
    4. Lettermark
    5. Letterform
    6. Emblem
    7. Pictorialmark
    8. Abstract mark
    9. Brand marks

What I would like to know is what are the official categories for the logo & brand identity design

At the end of February 2007, our design group convened a meeting with the R&D manager, the financial manager, the purchasing manager and the quality manager of Sunward Intelligent for assessing the design result from the aspects of cost estimate, supplier management and quality control. I made a presentation (PPT file) of our design achievement and elaborated to directors of relevant departments on the meeting. Finally, our design proposal was affirmed.

Maybe Im not educated with Microsoft’s Expression Web but for a simple HTML page is awfully difficult to get creative compared to MS Publisher. For example, you cant just drag and drop a rectangle box, then fill it in with a color. Or you cant create shape with a line tool. Am I just not seeing how to use, can all this be done in Expression Web?

It seems like non-equivalent groups design…or some other quasi-experimental design, but I just can’t seem to narrow it because it did not use a control group.

People with certain disabilities have trouble buttoning shirts and other clothing. My Senior Design Group and I, from NC State University, are going to research different fastening devices that will make it easier for people with disabilities to dress themselves. Our main focus will be Velcro or perhaps alternative forms of Velcro. However, we will be looking into all different types of fasteners such as snaps, hooks, ties, pins, and magnets. Our hope is to give people with disabilities independence and ease of use when it comes to dressing themselves.

    Our main questions are:

What is the biggest problem with garment fastening devices for people with disabilities?

What are some suggestions for improvements of these devices?

Any advice, suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated. Also, any kind of personal experience or situations regarding people with disabilities would be very helpful since none of us have had much exposure to disabilities.

I am the website editor for my high school orchestra. I want to re-design it, but I don’t know how to do that without using software. My reason is because I only have this job for a year and if I don’t want to have to use a software because the next student who gets this job will have to download that software. Help please?

Need to create a graphic design student guide as an assignment, for students to enroll into the course. We where given all the information, just need to do the formatting.

Does anyone have any examples or ideas?

Would you do something funky or stylish?
This is for an assignment at college.
They will pick the best guide for next years students to apply to the course.

I guarantee if you don’t accept evolution as fact, you don’t understand it at all. Let’s look at where these creationists get their information from and what kinds of people stand in opposition:

Although in the scientific community there is essentially universal agreement that the evidence of evolution is overwhelming, and the scientific consensus supporting the modern evolutionary synthesis is nearly absolute, creationists have asserted that there is a significant scientific controversy and disagreement over the validity of evolution.

The Discovery Institute, a pro-intelligent design lobby group located in the United States, funded heavily by Howard Ahmanson, Jr., a right wing Christian reconstructionist millionaire, also claims that because there is a significant lack of public support for evolution, that public schools should, as their campaign states, “Teach the Controversy”. Nearly every scientific society, representing hundreds of thousands of scientists, has issued official statements disputing this claim and a petition supporting the teaching of evolutionary biology was endorsed by 72 US Nobel Prize winners.

Looks like evolution has just about every scientist and academic on its side while creationism has religion (not based on any evidence) and propagandists at a well-funded (non)-think tank Discovery Institute.

Oh, creationism also has the majority of those without high school diplomas or college degrees on its side, while creationism sharply declines with a college education.
LiberalAssKicker, I have a good mind to block you so you can’t post any more of your immensely idiotic propaganda on this question. You are fvcking clueless.

“(Hmm…and we can continue by pointing out that there is absolutely no viable linkage between the evolutionary stages of any life form beyond just saying they look alike. No certifiable DNA matches have ever even been attempted.)”

That quote right there tells me you know absolutely nothing about evolution, DNA, or science in general. There has been extensive DNA evidence for evolution. DNA evidence (genetics) along with the fossil record are actually the strongest sources of the overwhelming evidence.

Humans share over 97% of their DNA with chimpanzees and the gene for language capability has been found in a Neandertal sample from way back suggesting they may have had the ability to develop language.

    You have been badly brainwashed

Suppose a particular fertilizer contains nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. The numbers on the fertilizer’s label represent the amounts of each element in the fertilizer. Design an experiment to test how much fertilizer shoulder be added to a lawn for the best results.

( I need an observation, a hypothesis, an independent variable, a dependent variable, the experimental design, the # of experimental groups, a control group, and a constant. PLEASE HELP!)
