A formidable share, I just given this onto a colleague who was doing a bit evaluation on this. And he the truth is bought me breakfast as a result of I discovered it for him.. smile. So let me reword that: Thnx for the treat! However yeah Thnkx for spending the time to debate this, I feel strongly about it and love reading more on this topic. If doable, as you change into experience, would you mind updating your weblog with more details? It’s extremely helpful for me. Huge thumb up for this blog submit!

I would like to use a cover song from the music band Outkast for one of my commercial projects. Would this be a legal thing to do, seen as though its not the actual song by Outkast?

Thanks, any advice would be helpful.

Someone is harassing me online. I’d purchased several digital graphics packages from her online to use in my commercial projects. The terms say: “You may use this pack in all of your artwork personal or commercial.” I used a few of her graphics in some scenic backgrounds and for ornamentation in another commercial design project that I sell on my site. They comprised very little of the sum total of the work and weren’t redistributed “as is.”

Nevertheless, she sent me a DMCA copyright infringement notice and an extremely nasty letter, saying, among other things, that I’m “a disgrace.” She also said that she’d contacted one of my customers and would contact others if necessary. I woke up to this this morning, and nearly had a heart attack–I mean that literally. I’ve always taken extreme care when it comes to other artists’ copyrights. An artist myself, I would never intentionally infringe on anyone’s rights. If I’d known that she didn’t want her work used this way, then I wouldn’t have used it.

I immediately removed her graphics from my site. Then, I sent her a polite letter to let her know, hoping it would be the end of it. She shot back several hateful emails through the day, claiming that I’ve not removed the materials and attacking my character again. I keep telling her that I’ve removed them, but she refuses to believe me and calls me a liar. I’m not sure what to do now. In my last message to her, I lost my patience and said some nasty things to her. Any suggestions?

There is no any brand name on the basket just ordinary osier basket filled with sweets and sold in confectionery shops. I want to use just this basket without sweets in my commercial project, is it legal without asking for any permissions, or if I am the owner I can do whatever I want?

I am wondering what is the average sq. ft. installation price is for click and lock, floating laminate flooring in Denver. Labor only. estimator puts it at a couple cents under $3.00 which seems expensive to me.
I’ve installed several laminate floors that have been smaller and so I just estimated about how long it would take me and then multiply it by my hourly rate. However, I’m bidding on a larger commercial project and want to be competitive.

While playing on my violin, I passed a glance of satisfaction at the poem I had just written. My attention was suddenly turned to the school poster, the script, and the commercial project that still needed some work. Musing over these different activities, I grew amazed at how well-rounded I have become. It soon came to me that versatility is indeed my greatest quality.

I’m planning to restructure the land surveying company I work at; since the sales are not happening {as in projects}- and we need bigger contracts- more institutional based, more commercial projects.

    •We don’t have referrals.
•Its mostly repeat clients because we’ve dealt with them in the past and because we might be the cheapest option that could give them ‘decent’ work.
•Most of the interested parties are just looking for an updated survey.
•Our performances or packages has no U.S.P-
•Basically for the previous 8 months we’re just pushing the carts.

How can we restructure our marketing to get a new brand image and business. We have 40 plus years of experience but suddenly its not working!

Building my first commercial construction project. I am wondering what the typical (if there is one) pay schedule is like for say a retail shopping center. I assume it is pay by progress, that is as a stage is completed the sub contractor bills the general who bills who ever is financing. Would this be correct? Or is a 1/3, 1/3, 1/3 type of situation? Or does it depend? Any feedback would be great.

Does anybody know if you have to get permission to use footage filmed on the London Underground in a commercial project? (There are no members of the public in the clips).

I’m looking for a free game engine that isn’t genre-specific and can be used for both 2D and 3D games and used for commercial projects. Something that can be used on Linux would be a plus. I’ve programmed small games and am working on my first serious project in C++, but I’d like to use a game engine for my next project so I can spend less time dealing with the engine and more time on the actual game.

I took the photograph of the beach, ocean and sculpture, and wish to use it in a (possibly)commercial project. Do I need the permission of the sculptor if the sculpture was outside in a public area? Would it make a difference depending on what country it was taken in (the photograph was taken in Mexico)?

I’m looking to do a complete remodel for my business and need to hire a professional painting contractor to help with my 3 locations in DC, Virginia and Maryland. This is a large commercial project and I want a painting contractor that can not only handle the demands of my job but also design a paint maintenance program to keep my different locations touched-up and looking great. Any recommendations?

PresenterMedia is a site that charges a subscription for use of its images. Here is the disclaimer –

Can I use your animations and clipart on a website, blog, mobile app, software product, or printed document?

Yes, our images and animations are royalty-free and can be used on commercial web pages, blogs, mobile apps and software for sale, printed documents and books, and other commercial projects. There are no additional fees required for this use.

So can I use an image from there on a book cover?

Just had a question for anyone in construction. Does anyone know why some commercial real estate projects (office buildings, high rise condos) take LESS time to build than some mega mansions??

Some mansions take 3-5 yrs, but some commercial projects take only a year to two years.

Thanks and have a good 1.

  • mr flibble October 21, 2013 at 7:20 pm

I have a commercial project I’m working on that will eventually require historical figures, such as Albert Einstein, Sir Issac Newton, etc. However, I’m unsure on the legality of this Is there any way at all to check who would be in “Public Domain”?

  • Superman November 11, 2013 at 8:38 pm

I keep hearing these terms and would like some clarification. If i’m making a “how to” video at home and putting it on youtube, is that considered “uncommercial?”

What would be a good example of a “commercial project?” Examples for both would be great. Thank you.
