How can I get Firefox 3 to stop logging me out everytime I close the browser?

I have figured out some essential things through your site post. One other point I would like to convey is that there are lots of games out there designed particularly for toddler age young children. They include pattern identification, colors, family pets, and shapes. These generally focus on familiarization rather than memorization. This helps to keep little ones engaged without having a sensation like they are learning jskfsgi.

What kinds of things should I make for my graphic design college portfolio? I was thinking I should do some photoshop images, and possibly some drawings and make some cards. Is there anything I should definitely create for my portfolio?
I would really like to impress them, if at all make them want to accept me. So what kinds of things would be good to include?

Would a graphic design degree be good enough to work as an electronic designer in the fashion or accessory (such as Claires) industry?

  • mrankinmatt August 12, 2013 at 4:59 am

I currently considering a four year degree in graphic design. I am artistically talented and I have two solid years of foundational art/illustration courses from Ringling School of Art & Design. I also have a marketing background with exposure to CRM, online media, and web analytics tracking.

Does anyone have thoughts on transitioning into the graphic design field?

I’m a senior in high school and I’m planning on going into graphic design for starters (to a state school–not art academy, is this ok?), but I’d also like to look into animation/illustration. Do these things even have anything to do with each other?

What should I do to get a head start on all of this? It’s kind of a recent decision so I don’t know much about animation at all. What should I do to start learning the basics?

    Thank you!

I currently use Print Shop but am looking for some better graphic design software. I am a fast learner but am still looking for something user friendly that I will be able to jump right into with little experience at first. I will be using the program for designing graphics for t-shirts. Any suggestions?

I originally wanted to go into Graphic Design at Georgian College, but there were two programs. One called Graphic Design and one Graphic Design Production, what is the difference? Should I just take the production one? Has anyone taken either of these courses or is currently taking them that could help me out?

  • Cliffy N August 27, 2013 at 2:00 am

I have been searching all over to find Graphic Design courses I can take. First, I don’t know if I should take a Certificate Course or actually go for the Associates Degree at a local college? Or are there courses I can take without attending a college that will get me started as an entry level graphic designer ? Can you guys give me your opinion or what should I do… Thanks!

What classes are best if you are just beginning graphic design classes? Photoshop, INdesign, Illustrator? Should more focus be on Adobe Photoshop or should a bit of all be taken?

I went to school for Graphic Design a few years ago, and have been taking baby steps to break into the industry. It’s hard to find a position open for a designer in my area and want to try and freelance on the side, and maybe even make it full time. What is the best way to start my business from home?

Right now I’m doing some freelance graphic design work. I find it incredibly difficult to find new clients because of my social anxiety. The clients that I have currently love the work i do. My question is should I continue pursuing to create a career in graphic design or should I find something that’s more suited to me and my personality. I tried working at an ad agency in the past and unfortunately because of my anxiety I’m I’m capable of doing so. Any ideas?? Want to do next.

I am a going to be a junior this year in school, and I am trying to start up my graphic design portfolio. What are some of the different elements that I should display? I was thinking of doing an add for sneakers, water, and showing how two of the same products would be advertised in different magazine (i.e Harper’s Bazaar and National Geographic) I was also thinking of doing an identity package. But what else should I do?? I really want to have it put together by January and I need some helpful tips and opinions. Thanx!

Few weeks ago I decided that I wanted to study graphic design. I want to work in the area of advertisement some day. However, I don’t have a portfolio. I need some guidlines and I’d appreciate any suggestion or advise you give me. What should the portfolio be like? I mean do all works have to be in the same style and with the same theme? Can I create a folder with my own cover or I have to buy one? How many works I can include and what format?

Okay, so a couple of my friends are going into graphic design and I plan on becoming an illustrator. What’s the difference between a graphic designer, someone who does computer graphics, media designer, and illustrator?
The thing is since I wanna be an illustrator, can I have more mediums than just pencil and paper? I wanna use drawing tablets and traditional stuff but I’m just not sure if I’ll be restricted or not :/ I’m really new to this….

  • Jeff October 24, 2013 at 1:09 am

Graphic design has plenty of divergent definitions out there; and I’d like to hear the personal opinions of what people think graphic design should be defined as. I’m welcoming answers from designers and non-designers alike.

I’m thinking about majoring in graphic design. When you have a career in graphic design, do you have to illustrate and design on your own using the computer or can you use the help from the computer to design and illustrate?
Also, what kinds of careers are there for graphic design?
