I was looking at inspirational workspaces on Flickr today, and I saw one of the desktops in the pictures had a desktop wallpaper with a calendar near the bottom and a really cute cartoon character.

I couldn’t read the name on the desktop wallpaper, but it said something like ‘The Cloud S—-‘; you see, I wasn’t able to read the rest of the ‘S’ word. It looked like an Asian-style cartoon.

If you have any ideas, any and all help is appreciated! Thanks!

that i can then use as my desktop wallpaper. not a perpetual calendar, just something i can change month to month. i found a site called “bighugelabs” that allows me to do this, but the calendar isn’t transparent like i’d like. i don’t want to download a program, just overlay a transparent calendar onto a picture then save it to use as my desktop wallpaper. any help would be much appreciated!!! thank you for your time!! p.s. i know this is the wrong category but i didn’t choose this category, it chose it for me and wouldn’t let me change it. sorry!

Does anyone know if there’s such a thing as an interactive desktop calendar wallpaper? I wanted a calender where I can just click on it from my desktop and then add stuff to it.

If there is such a thing, where can I get it? Or is there something that is close to this idea? Thanks!

I’m Christian, I got Baptized this past weekend. I have many Christian friends, a few Hindu, Muslim and Jewsih friends, a Wiccan friend and a couple of Atheist friends. I will never try to convert friends from other beliefs to mine, they are all adults and have the ability to think for themselves – just like I do. My reasons for being a Christian are just as good as their reasons for their belief.

Where I work, everybody has their own office, a few of us share an office with 1 other person (like me). My office partner is a Christian, but she is more of a Bible Basher (so to speak).

While we work we are allowed to have music playing softly. I usually listen to the Christian Radio station, my office partner enjoys it too.

Last week my office partner tried to “convert” one of the other people in our office block (the one next door to us). Now he has logged a complaint (and rightly so), but in the complaint he has asked that NO religion of any form be allowed in the work environment. About 20% of the people in our office block are Christians, and 60% other religions (Buddist, Hindu, Muslim etc.) and the other 20% Athiest.

That means that my office mate and I won’t be allowed to listen to the Christian radio station anymore, we will have to take down the calendar with Bible Verses which is posted behind our office door (nobody sees that but the two of us) and my desktop wallpaper of a cross will also have to be removed. The people of the other religions will also not be allowed to have their religious artifacts in their offices – just because of 1 person.

Yet this young man (who I had no problem with up until now) will still be allowed to keep the AC/DC poster and listen to his metal music – which I could argue has so much cursing in it, it should be banned too. But I am not going to because it doesn’t affect me unless I go into his office.

Up until now (and I’ve been here for 3 years) it has been a pleasant working environment, we all have a lot of freedom to do whatever we want as long as we get the work done. Everybody got along great, until my office partner and this other guy got started working here a month ago.

I think she should get a “slap on the wrists” possibly be informed of the working environment and the silent understanding we all have of other people’s beliefs – but it shouldn’t be banned because 2 people can’t get along. Not just the Christian employees will suffer, but the other religions too (which account for 80% of the work force).

What do you think? Do you think that my argument would have any grounding if I was to take it to our boss? Our boss is one of the people who believes in a higher power, but doesn’t believe any specific religion.

Why do the majority have to suffer because of the minority?

And make sure it’s free and it’s not only useable for a limited amount of time!

I want a calendar as my desktop wallpaper but one that’s interactive so that I can add events to the calendar, anyone know of any such thing?

If you say “just search google,” I and everyone I know will thumbs down the fuck out of you. Obviously I’ve tried that, that’s why I’m resorting to Yahoo! Answers.
